Looking to buy a set of red calipers for my base model 987.2 cayman (yes I know this is sacrilege to some of you) and couldn’t find a clear answer on what parts specifically I should shop for. I know I could paint my stock ones, but it seems awfully expensive (don’t want to DIY it) and I also would most likely have to deal with rebuilding them. My understanding is that the .2 models had the same size brakes between the base and S models, but the .1 models had different sizes on the rears. Is this correct? Am I missing any other models that would work (e.g. 911 generations)?

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

If I remember correctly, the base model has thinner rear rotors. All other parameters are the same. So calipers from S model should work just fine. I would replace all rotors (with slotted type) and install S-spec (thicker) rear rotors, as well as a GT3 master cylinder, if I was doing the mod you are suggesting. Might as well improve the stopping power while improving the looks ...
Thanks, does that go for the .1 and .2 generations? And yeah I agree, would like to track the thing eventually, so the extra stopping power would be a nice addition.
Yes, I think you can use 987.1 S calipers.
I re-painted mine stock black and applied new white Porsche stencil/decals. The decals came from Israel and they have held up great.
I have the stock calipers and rotors from my 987.1 Cayman S available.
