Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So I've just been putting the finishing touches on my 996.2 and was polishing the exhaust pipes, I noticed a very slight dip on the floor, on investigation its coming from the sump guard 10mm bolt hole, not sure what torque it should be but I got a good 1/4 turn on it and cleaned it off so hopefully that's it (it's under warranty) also there was a slight oil mark on the scavenger plate 2 off the Allen bolts where slightly loose so just nipped them up, hopefully do the job?! Will keep my eye on them, other than that can't wait for some good weather!

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Might leave a little brown line in the snow 🤣 Hopefully just a loose bolt tho, is it worth removing and putting some loctite in?

POST 4Original post

I wouldn't do. Just monitor it and see if it stopped.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Will do, the sealant looks fine (gasket) and was OK before first oil change, if it continues I'll nip it back for a re seal
