Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

For those that don't know, I did a double Din modification to my 996 nearly 3 years ago here: http://911uk.com/viewtopic.php?t=125771 My lad was quizzing me if I wanted anything for Christmas so I though now would be a good opportunity to have DAB radio in my car. To do this you need a DAB receiver and aerial. Xtrons do a specific all in one package that's a straight plug and play in the head unit: https://xtrons.co.uk/dab-tuner-usbdab02 Easy enough to install, just plugs straight into one of the USB sockets and plug in the aerial and away you go. Aerial will need routing up the A pillar and stuck on the windscreen but I'll do that once I'm happy everything works fine. Then select the DAB+ app on the head unit, do a scan and away you go. I just have it plugged in one of my centre glove box USB sockets but may change this to somewhere more hidden behind the dash: Churning out some decent ear fodder from Radio 6

POST 2Original post

I did this to my 997 this year. I put the aerial adjacent to the B pillar, so not in direct line of sight. I put it on the drivers side but if I did it again I would put it on the passenger. Richard

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

What's a B pillar? I currently have my GPS aerial on the top right of the screen and it's barely noticeable so will do this on the opposite side.
