Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

Anybody here been studying the Porsche brochures too much and wants to put it to good use? I have a couple of questions that are rather random. Do you know when Porsche first offered the Bose-branded stereo? It looks like late 996s have the option, something like MY2003 or so? Is that advertised with specs similar to the 997 Bose, explicitly saying "Neodymium speakers" etc? When did convertibles get the automatically deploying overroll protection? 996s seem to have it, but I dunno whether that was an option or standard. Can't find info either way for 993 and 964. I love 964s, please have it. Was full leather standard for later 996 and early 997 turbos? When did the heated steering wheel come around? It looks like a rarely picked option sometime mid-life of the 997. Was that a standalone option or part of a package? Thanks!
