Hi, everyone Does anyone know how to bypass the soft limiter at 3.5-4k rpm on a 2008 Cayman S ? I've heard about a special 'neutral mode' in which you hold both paddles which allows you to rev higher, however I have the tiptronic version with the buttons on the steering wheel. Does anyone know of a way to do this with the model I have? I have tried revving it in both park and neutral with PSM off and on, but still hit the soft limiter. Thanks

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

On PDK transmissions you can get sport-chrono /sport/sport-plus, which allows for " launch mode" and you can bring the engine up to about 100RPM below redline. Not doable on the Tiptronic transmission for several reasons - torque converters allow the engine to rev faster as the coupling starts, and hitting it with full power probably means it never couples and you're going nowhere fast, plus - the tiptronic may not be up to the impact load of a launch .
