Does anyone know whether minor scoring of bores is an urgent fix if its minor? Ie will this get worse quickly or is it just normal wear and tear in an older engine? Thanks for any advice.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Welcome Guy. Shame it isn't under better circumstances. Speak to Barry Hart (Baz) at Hartech: http://www.hartech.org They are IMO the best people to deal with this kind of issue, and have the most cost-effective solutions. (Note: I didn't say cheap!)
Hi Guy (or is it Geoff?), As Richard said, Hartech are the specialists. They have a number of technical docs on their web site too, such as this one... http://www.hartech.org/docs/buyers%20guide%20web%20format%20Jan%202008%20part%204.pdf My thoughts would be to have it looked at by them immediately, so as to catch it before any more damage is done - but speak to Baz, he'll have the correct answer to your question.
