Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

I heardthe top speed will be electronically limited to around 130mph? I know top 'track' speed is 171, but will a US version go that fast?

POST 2Original post

God I hope so! Not that I think I will need it, but I hope someone can answer that question. This is the first I have heard of such a thing. Russ

POST 3Original post

Porsche does not electronically limit the top speed of their cars, the Cayman S will do around 170+ mph should you have the track available to do that on.

POST 4Original post

I think I asked this yesterday, but does anyone know what the specswill befor the Cayman Non-S? Russ

quote:
does anyone know what the specswill befor the Cayman Non-S?

Porsche hasn't even confirmed they will build a non-S Cayman so there are no specs for it yet. BT, Ahh, so this was just rumored? My mistake, I thought it was confirmed. I thought I read it somewhere in one of the articles, but maybe I just heard it here? It didn't seem to make too much sense. Thanks Russ

If they do build the base Cayman ( I'm guessing they will) it will probably be positioned below the Boxster S and the base Boxster at around 260hp. Or prehaps the base Boxster is phased out depending on sales?
