Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Looking at the wiring diagram (albeit for a 986) the yellow is live and the brown is earth.
Many thanks Nick. Yep, yellow is positive.........and my new Xenon lights now work!!!! Martyn
Good to hear you have got it sorted. Brown is always earth on a 986/996.
Happy to help as ever. ps: Santa bought me one of these (No not the 'Track Boxster' ..... the lift):
Looks really neat. Is it hydraulic? I can't quite work out how it lifts.
No, it drives up via a screw driven through its' own gearbox from an electric drill. Also breaks down into four parts which if I had a normal sized car would go in the boot.
Would you know how much one of those goes for it looks really useful?
You will get me in trouble but as it's a Sunday and you can't get one in the UK around $2K (yes dollars) shipped to the UK.
This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
