Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

it's a 996 trying to be a Turbo, Mk1 GT3 and MK2 GT3 all in 1 as evidenced in the pictures below..... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110393579436

POST 2Original post

And advertised on fleabay as a 2002 MY but has a YD05 plate :? Run......................

POST 3Original post

To be fair, the seller does say the plate has been put on to protect the car's identity. Obviously not heard of Photoshop c: It's also described as a Carrera GT with 40,000 miles but the text says 48,000 miles. Hmm :?

POST 4Original post

Yes my mistake didn't read to the end of the advert. You're right a bit of a mish-mash of styles but all the best bits perhaps? Turbo front GT3 spoiler - all the bits people seem to like the look of - interesting styling exercise

POST 5Original post

Looks very like a mate's C2. He's got a GT2 front PU and the Carrera rear wing and skirts with Turbo style wheels. At least he's got the good taste not to have a GT3 badge on the back though... And it's a manual

POST 6Original post

So if it's uncool to put a GT3 badge on a Carrera (and I think it is too) - I'm just speculating here - is it cool to put a Carrera badge on a GT3? I was seriously thinking about putting a silver 911 badge on mine instead of Turbo. It's like a magnet to every chav in the area who wants to outbrake you in their Saxo. I seldom got that with the C2. Then I found that the price of the Millennium 911 badge is £130!! The Anniversary one is £199!!

POST 7Original post

Best to de-badge completely, Richard. People who know Porsche's will still know it's a turbo & the chav scum will look for another target (hopefully).
