Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi All, I am totally new to owning a Porsche, so would appreciate if you could answer this. Is it normal for the oil guage to be just over the 1 when engine is idling and to increase upto 3.5/4 when revs are increased. Thanks PJE

Welcome to Porsche ownership A search on other forums brings up .... When hot:At least 1.0 bar at idle and 4.0 to 5.0 at 4000+ rpm When cold it stays around 4 or 5 bar. When warm mine idles about 1.5 bar.
