Finally some good news out of this piss-poor government. Porsche GB, in partnership with, erm, PM GB have finally put a floor under the plumetting values of older Porsches (specifically 996s). Within days ANY OPC will pay you a MINIMUM of £2,000 for any 1998 or 1999 registered 996*. The only small print is you must trade up to a new "green" Porsche model - eg the Cayenne Turbo. So get out there and save the planet (and Porsche's desperate looking botttom line). God bless the "Scrappage Scheme"! *technically this scheme applies to older Porsches and other models aswell, but, certainly in the case of the aircooled, their values have been either unaffected or gone up in this recession if you believe the owners, and in any case they don't trust cars cooled by the devils fluid (water), so they are unlikely to trade up to one of these new fangled motors.
