Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Have had my 996 CAB since November and it has been fantastic, however, after the last two times i have washed it the windows have started playing up ? Mainly the side rear quarter windows, they drop down and then wont come up. then the main side windows drop on there own.. i have found a work round, which is to disconect the battery for 5mins, then everything works again? any ideas on what the actual issue could be ? :dont know:

First thing to do is check to see if the carpet is wet under the passenger seat. The alarm control module is under there, at the lowest point on the floor pan. You saying that it happens after washing the car makes me think that might be the problem. It's a common problem on Boxsters due to blocked drains.
