Hi Team, I did post this is 912 forum but there's been no activity so I'm trying here since it is more active. A friend of mine will be in San Francisco next week for work and will have a spare day at the end of his trip. He's on the hunt for parts for his 1969 Porsche 911T, which, as we understand, shares body parts with the 912. Hes particularly interested in visiting salvage yards or second-hand parts dealers that specialize in older 911/912 models. If anyone has recommendations where there's a lot of stock, that would be greatly appreciated! Hes specifically looking for a beaver panel with patina for his project. Thanks in advance!

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

https://specializedgerman.com/ This place is like 100 miles east of San Francisco, but I dont know what their air cooled inventory is like (might be nonexistent). Contact them to see if they have anything of interest before making the trek out. edit: heck, if they dont have what you need, they may know of a place that has it.
Here are some links that discuss shops that work on air cooled cars. They may have some insider information on where they find the good stuff. https://www.early911sregistry.org/fo...cisco-Bay-Area https://forum.porsche356registry.org...ic.php?t=52994 Your friend may want to wait until he arrives in the US before hammering out phone calls - international calls are expensive!
Not in SF, but there's EASY (East Bay Salvage Yard) across the bridge in Emeryville. Start there. https://www.yelp.com/biz/easy-porsche-emeryville
