Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

just got an e-mail from my brother (I am out of country) My brother took the car to the shop in daytona beach (I guess he's an individual mechanic who specializing porsches) and they played PST2 for a while (I e-mailed PST2 instruction from forum) The result they got from PST2 is kinda funny. "OBC is not present" I thought all the boxster in US comes with OBC (it's 99') Since my brother hab no idea about it. (He doesn't know what's PST2). I asked again if the tech hab right equipment. It's surely PST2. What the hell? My boxster is brainless~~!!

POST 2Original post

The coding has to be modified with the PST2 to tell the instrument cluster that it has OBC. It is showing not present on the screen because it has not been turned on. Jeff

POST 9Original post

OBC = on board computer = trip computer. Your owners manual will have pictures of what it does if you have this option.
