Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Just got back from the 991 unveiling in Raleigh, had a great time, and this truly is a epic car. Also there just happened to be a 959, and 2 other classic 911s there. If you have seen the car or even driven it before what do you think?

POST 2Original post

Thanks for sharing. Attended a launcy party last night and they too had a host of previous gen 911s without some of the exception examples, e.g. 964 RS, at your viewing. There were two 991s - one in black and the other Gray - and I happened to be standing next to the black one when the cover was removed. First impression was that the design and look of the car is simply stunning. The wider front track is very noticeable along with the lower roofline which gives the car a very aggressive appearance. Compared to the gray car it seems as if the darker colors really accentuate the contours of the car. Although I was skeptical about the headlights from photos, they're really cool as they become an extenstion of the fenders. Pictures don't do the car justice. In terms of the interior, it's a luxurious place to be with high quality materials and a cockpit like feeling. As mentioned before it takes most of the styling cues from the Panamera - which isn't a bad thing. Overall, exemplary fit and finish and a nice improvement over the 997.

POST 3Original post

I attended one here in California yesterday. Nice car but it is starting to look (interior- wise) more like a luxury car versus a true sports car. Don't get me wrong it is still beautiful!

POST 4Original post

I have now been to two of them. Man is that a nice car. But I will not buy a 991 unless they include one of those black silk covers. Whip it off with a flourish in the garage every time I take the car out, in between rides, every morning when I get up....

lol...that's me in the orange pants!!! it was a nice event..

POST 6Original post

I too recently attended one of these unveilings and can say for sure that... 1)The car is stunning imo and 2)The event was done very nicely co-sponsored by Paul Reed Smith guitars.
