Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 11Original post

Moderators, is there any kind of rule you can enfore here regarding this thread? I really do feel it's utterly unfair of Menace to dangle such a tasty mod as a supercharger in front of us and not give us chapter and verse on the install/costs/pro & cons etc. :x

POST 13 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, My apologies, I've been tied up at work, not literally, but every time I mean to write a reply, I get sidetracked. So, many will say the Supercharger will blow the engine, I believe it was highly possible too, but after some research, I thought, the IMS issue already has me worried so why not. May a well Make the worry worth it. Fast forward 10 years later, not one issue, only thing to never go wrong with the car was a water pump. You obviously need to ensure your engine is a good one prior to any modification. Is it worth it? Financially, no, approximately £10k and a bit. The power is very linear and does add a huge boost in power. My last rolling road was 450bhp since then I've done many mods to the suspension, engine mounts etc The install was nice and smooth, you obviously get the added 'as I'm doing this may as well add this' costs. The whine noise is nice and audible enough but not overbearing. I'm glad I did it and it does receive attention but it was all about having that extra useable power and love that look of that huge blower. Regards Vinny
