I finally got to join the (not so exclusive) "leaking windshield reservoir club". There are about a thousand threads about how to fix it, so I'm not worried about that. I didn't have time to remove the reservoir, but did a quick visual inspection yesterday. Is there supposed to be a grommet where the "filler tube" enters the reservoir? When I wiggled the reservoir a little bit, the fluid appeared to be leaking out from where the filler tube enters the reservoir. As far as I could see, there was no grommet or seal of any kind. Is #2 the grommet I suspect is missing, or is it something else? (Diagram shamelessly "borrowed" from another site :mrgreen

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I've just done exactly this as mine would leak if you tried to fill it over 1/3. My grommet (part 2) was also missing and as soon as you filled to spout level, it just poured out. Unfortunately the spout is around 1/3 from empty, if you include the part of the tank over and in front of the wheel. I bought the gasket from Rosepassion for around £20 with 3 day Fedex delivery. Probably cheaper from a Porsche dealer, but we're a bit limited in Kent. I suspect they get pushed inside the tank when people refit the spout, so grease up the spout well and re-insert gently. You only need to partially remove the tank, then you can poke the new seal in.

Thanks! These are the same symptoms as I'm experiencing, I believe you are right about the grommet being pushed inside the tank. I think I'll simply remove the tank and try to get the grommet out just to make sure it won't obstruct the pumps in any way.
