Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Hi all, currently planning a potential project and want to add the Getty front and rear flares. Has anyone installed these/ documented it? Curious if the fenders have to be cut like other wide body kits. I am also trying to decide which big wing looks best on the Cayman . Does anyone have the 55" one installed? Thanks!

Hi ADunk.. Welcome to Planet-9, the Thinking Man's Porsche Forum! How about visiting New Member Introductions and telling us a bit more about you and your Porsche. Please review the stickies at the top of that forum. It's more likely you'll get an answer if the members have some idea of at least the year of your Cayman.. FWIW - and it's just my opinion - unless you're racing and really high-speed racing - a big wing is a detriment. It creates downforce when not needed and to do that it also creates drag, slowing the car down. Most people seem to find the self-deploying factory spoiler to be effective up to the top speed of the car. Of course if you're doing it just for looks - well - to each his own (it's not for me, but I'm also not you..)

Great, thanks Deilenberger! I will be sure to head over to the New Members thread and do a quick intro. And thanks for the feedback on the wing! We plan to some road course track days but mainly a street RSR build.
