<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0"> <tbody> <tr> <td valign="top" align="left" colspan="11"> Kuwait. Porsche Middle East & Africa is proud to unveil its all-new mid-engined coupe, Cayman S, for the first time in the Middle East at the Kuwait Motor Show. It will spearhead a host of Porsche models featuring in the show including Boxster S, Carrera S Coupe, Carrera 4S in its coupe and cabriolet versions, Cayenne S and Cayenne Turbo, in addition to the most successful high performance sports car of all time, the Carrera GT. George Wills, Regional Operations Manager of Porsche Middle East & Africa, highlighted the success Porsche is enjoying in Kuwait: “Kuwait is one of the most important and largest markets for Porsche Middle East & Africa. The Porsche model line-up is has always been highly appealing here within the sports car and luxury SUV segment, a trend we expect to prosper further with our latest addition, Cayman S. This success would not have been possible without the relentless effort of our sole importer here, Behbehani Motors Company, who continues to reflect its utmost dedication to the brand in the very professional manner it conducts business.” At first sight, the Cayman S looks likes a typical Porsche sports car; however, its autonomous design ensures it stands out against the Boxster and 911 Carrera. The new front is accentuated by oval main headlamps and distinctive air inlets. The model’s rear view is defined by a large tailgate, powerfully sweeping fenders and an automatically extending wing. Moreover, the aluminum chassis with a large track emphasizes the sporty, dynamic appearance of the vehicle, which is fitted as standard with 18-inch tyres. Commenting on the introduction of the Cayman S coupe in Kuwait Motor Show, David Matta, General Manager of Behbehani Motors Company, said: “With its distinctive muscular stance and supreme handling prowess, Kuwaiti sports car aficionados are gearing up for an unforgettable ride aboard Porsche’s latest offering, Cayman S. Predictions on the impact this model will have across Kuwait is extremely positive, especially in light of the immense success we enjoyed over the years, and the great reception of Porsche’s latest offerings, the new generation Carrera and Boxster models, which are also on display at the Kuwait Motor Show amongst other models.” This sporty two-seater Cayman S, based on the Boxster series, boasts a newly developed and highly advanced six-cylinder boxer engine with a capacity of 3.4 litres and an output of 295 bhp. Equipped with Porsche’s VarioCam Plus system for variable intake camshaft control and valve timing, the engine delivers an impressive performance, powering the car to a maximum speed of 275 km/hr and accelerating it from zero to 100 km/h in just 5.4 seconds. The ultra stiff chassis of the car ensures a new dimension in sporty and dynamic handling characteristics, especially when accompanied by Porsche Stability Management (PSM) and Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM). The latter lowers the body ten millimeters closer to the ground and automatically adjusts the suspension ratings to given road conditions. The addition of Cayman S to Porsche’s Model range in conjunction with the ground-breaking scheduled introduction of the all-new Panamera four-door sports coupé in 2009, will enhance the breadth and depth of Porsche’s model range and power it confidently into the future. A future brimming with confidence as Porsche posted a new sales record for the 2004/2005 financial year, and seeks to acquire a share of approximately 20 per cent (18.53 percent have already been purchased) of Volkswagen Group stock capital. The basic retail price in Kuwait for the Cayman S is KD 16,855 (US$ 54,470 – Subject to vehicle specifications). The model will be launched in Kuwait on 26 November 2005. http://www2.me.porsche.com/isapi/english/pme/news/pressreleases/report.asp?kapitel=pressreleases&id=44 </td> </tr> <tr> <td valign="top" align="left"> </td> </tr> <tr> <td valign="top" align="left" colspan="12">Report from 13/11/2005</td> </tr> </tbody> </table>
