Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello guys, First post and I have been trying to get some advise. I see lots of info about pulling the engine in a 996 with the trans. I need to pull the engine in the C4S tiptronic. Is it still advisable to pull the engine with the trans with the all wheel drive and tiptronic setup if my only goal is engine replacement? thanks for any input. I search and didn't see anything specific to a C4S tiptronic set up.

With a Tip, it is generally advised to pull them together and then separate them as it saves a lot of time.

But is that still the best/easiest way taking into account the all wheel drive set up?

Yes..................

So. After taking out a huge mass of metals referred to as an engine I see your point. 3 bolts for the front driveline and that was that. Thanks for the input. Now just waiting for the new engine to just jump right in all by itself!
