Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Anybody heard of this before? I saw this up for auction on Ebay. eBay Motors: Porsche Boxster 911 Cayman 97-08 Spin-On Oil Filter Kit (item 180318470833 end time Jan-11-09 15:39:52 PST)

Looks like a well made piece. However, besides the claimed performance benefits which are questionable, the return on investment (ROI) is not there. The stock filter element can be bought for $14. Assuming a spin-on filter cost of $6 and an average oil change interval of 10K miles, the ROI is over 150,000 miles. So you would not do this for economy.
