Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

apart from the obvious 2WD and 4WD..... whats the diffrence, I was tol;d by a sales man that C$ has the Qudos, but C2 is preferred in UK... is that true.. I want it to look good... In terms of Colour - BLUE, Black or silver??? I am going for a Tiptronic, and just decided that cabrio, not important, but if i find one within my price then I may go for it. However I am going to put a personalised reg on it... so people cant tell the year... (whats the best on that sense)???

POST 2Original post

Hi Sid007. Apart from the obvious, other differences are: - weight penalty of the C4 over the C2 (1485kg vs 1425kg) - reduced boot space in the front luggage compartment to allow for the drive to the front wheels (100 litres vs 130 litres). - PSM (Porsche Stability Management) being standard equipment as opposed to optional on the C2. I didn't know that a C4 has more kudos than a C2. It certainly has more weight! Those who are after a C4, we often encourage them to go for the C4S model (heavier still at 1550kg) as it has desirable visual and mechanical differences over and above the C4. Blue/black/silver colours are often referred to as the 'safe' colours; boring but plentiful (especially the latter). Personalised reg plates are a matter of taste. Many have them on here but there are those who don't like them. Good luck in your search and welcome to the forum. ~ Maxie :thumb:

There are blonde girls Tall girls Short girls Small girls There is every type of girl in the world And then there's you And then there's you There are good girls Bad girls Glad girls Mad girls There is every type of girl in the world. And then there's you And then there's you You are the love that I crave And the truth is that I was Saved by you I need you all to myself And you will belong to no one else but me There are rich girls Poor girls Bored girls Ignored girls There is every type of girl in the world. And then there's you And then there's you [repeat]

Having driven Carrera 2's aswell as Carrera 4's, I reckon that the C4 can be pushed a fair bit harder when it comes to high speed cornering and just feels alot more solid on the whole, it's better balanced. Around small-ish roundabouts the C2 is a bit nimbler. On the whole, unless your buying a Porsche for it's superior handling abilities, few people will ever push it to it's limits (which are very great!), so I would go for a C2 if you are getting a cab!

POST 5Original post

I do not think you will tell the difference c2 c4 battle rages on but only you intend to push seriously hard which I guess you dont then not much to choose between em. The c2 owners will say c2 and the c4 owners c4!!! Just find the best car you can for the money, and forget salesman talk.

POST 7Original post

:yeah: I drove both when looking for mine and only bought a c4 as one turned up with the spec I wanted. Drove plenty of c2's though and they're just as much fun

POST 8Original post

Blue C4 - the colour looks great all year round in any light. Oh, plus I have one!

POST 9Original post

If performance and fuel economy are key consideration then the C2 is the one, especially if you like slim hips! C4s are better for winter/wet weather driving for obvious reasons . The C4S seems to be the 996 model which is holding its price. As for Colours" Speed Yellow and Guards Red! Big Bob :bye:
