Hello everyone, I have a 2006 997S with an electrical problem. These three things all started occurring the same day: After I get into the car, the interior lights do not turn off, the windows which usually drop down 1/2 inch as the door handle is pulled then go back up after door closes does not operate, or when it does it does the reverse!(window up too high when door closes, and drops the 1/2 inch after door is closed), and when trying to lock the doors with the key fob, it does not lock but car beeps as if I'd left a door open while trying to lock the doors. I'm thinking I need to take it to the dealer unless someone has gone through this before. Thanks for any ideas.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Seen this before, inside the door latch assembly is a switch that tells the car if the door is open or closed, when this switch fails your faults are what happens...... You need to pull the door panel to confirm that is the part that failed.
Thanks bell, I see Pelican has the switch for $35. How do you pull the door panel? (This is the drivers door) Thank you for the reply
A good scan tool will confirm what Bell says, and he is likely correct.

Read this it will give you the general idea. Pelican Porsche Tech Article - Porsche 911 Carrera Door Panel Removal - Porsche 996 Carrera (1998-2005), Porsche 997 Carrera (2005-2008)
Thank you both. Happy Halloween.
The door panel clips will most certainly break unless you get them to release just right.......997 panel clips are self locking and very tight.....i have a snap on panel clip tool which works well.... After the panel is off you need to unbolt the inner door skin panel, lay a blanket over the door sill towards the front so you don't scratch your car.... The switch I've seen fail is built into the door latch assembly, not sure if you can just get that part of it on its own.....
996 and 997 door panel removal are totally different, 996 i can do with my eyes closed, 997s require some effort and knowledge for the clips....
