Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

13 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Is it possible to mount this one piece horseshoe console to my 2000 C2 which comes with a 3 piece horseshoe console? I tried to install it this morning, but it seems like it requires a different mounting bracket. thanks mar

POST 3Original post

BUMP Is there a way to make it work? I want to install a double din touch screen and this would be much nicer... I thought that all you had to do was get an adapter to accomodate the smaller AC vent

POST 4Original post

I asked Loren (Renntech) the same question, and he told me it was not possible. You can try to make a "Do it yourself" if you have a good skill, tiny hands or wathever you call it... but I think it wouldn't work

POST 5Original post

Why can'y you insall a double din with your current set up? I put a Alpine IVA-W200 in mine and the fitment was almost perfect.

POST 6Original post

I could but I think the 1-piece looks better and I also have the cupholder... Would you mind PMing me pics of your install? thanks!

POST 7Original post

The one piece does look better but the mounting posts and holes are different. So my answer is that it will not be a direct replacement. Take that as you will.

POST 8Original post

I thought one of the guys on renntech, or was it 6speedonline, did the complete swap ... I'll see if I can find his post ..

POST 11Original post

You may be able to do it a different way. The control section is the same shape from 99-01' and 02'+. Although probably significantly more expense that you are looking for, you can probably try to retrofit the entire center section (vents, cupholders and DIN frames) from an 02'+.

POST 13Original post

Correct, thats the way to do it. You have to get all those parts to make it work.
