Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Can anyone offer advice on this one? I have a 1998 C2 and when coming off the throttle and pressing the clutch the revs rise momentarily before falling. At slow speeds this is very annoying. I can be going slowly to allow for horses coming the other way, no throttle at all but in gear. As I get close to them I like to stop altogether but when I press the clutch the revs rise to 1700 before falling back. Combined with the loud exhaust this makes me look like a d1ck who is trying to intimidate other road users. Anyone seen this before?

POST 2Original post

Mine (99 C2) does the same but not as high - maybe only a few hundred rpm above idle - like a very small throttle blip. I put it down to the ICV valve cutting in - possibly an anti stall feature. I cleaned my ICV out - not a big job and my idle has improved on the back of it but the little "blip" still remains. 1700rpm does sound high though.
