Hi My driver side rear tail light needs replacing. The part numbers are 98763142803 and 98763142703 which appears to be the 987.2 tail lights, but I thought the R was a special black smoked version? Is it not? and in reality, the R tail lights are the exact same as the rest of the 987.2 range? Best regards Julian
I know Rs had different headlights but always thought the tails were unchanged from other 987.2a.
According to my PET covering all 987.2 Caymans , the taillights are the same an all of them. As expected, the #s you provided are the right rear fog light version. BTW, the catalog shows only 120 part numbers specifically for the 'R', most cosmetic and suspension/brake stuff. And yes, the headlights of the 'R' are different #. IDK what the actual difference is.
