Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Been searching for exact confirmation of this but cannot find anything that is 100%. Can anyone tell me if the 6 speed 'box on the 987.1 2.7 was tied in to the PASM option? Could a 6 speed be specced without PASM, and could PASM be specced without a 6 speed box? I have seen a gen 1 2.7 online which claims to have a 6 speed box, but the dash has no PASM button. Can't see the top of the gear knob clearly. I was under the impression that the two options came together but if this car is advertised correctly, that can't be true. Cheers in advance.

POST 2Original post

PASM was an option on 2.7, 2.9 and 3.4 Cayman variants afaik

I have the brochure for that model at home, I'll look it up and let you know. I thought they were stand alone options but need to check to be sure
