Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello I wanted to know if you could add a twin turbo to a 2002 996 C4S, and if so were can you get them from? Thanks in advance.

POST 2Original post

Hmm. Just sell your C4S and buy a TT instead, as adding a TT engine and everything else you have to do to mod it, will cost way more. You also won't get the money back when you sell/trade it.

POST 3Original post

Yes you can....BUT its VERY expensive, and you would be adding them to a normal 996 engine, the Turbo engine is not the same as the C4S engine with 2 turbos stuck on it...Its the GT3 engine with 2 turbos on it...that engine is about 30k without all the extra bits needed to make it work....it would be better to buy a TT and sell your C4S...now if you are looking for more power then you can add a supercharger to your C4S and it will give you near TT power for about 10k...

POST 5Original post

I guess if you have deep pockets you can about do anything.

POST 6Original post

The only reason I can think that you would want to go through all the time, money and effort to do a conversion like this would be if the car has sentimental value. My car has sentimental value to me, but if I were to be in the market for a TT, I'd remake the sentimental experience in the TT that I would buy. good luck

POST 7Original post

there was a TT engine for sale here last wek for like $26k Just buy an 01TT and be done with it. or supercharging it would be easier than adding Twins.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ok thanks guys for the information, I think I will look into getting a TT.

POST 10Original post

you can buy a turbo decal for the engine lid, cheapest conversion to a turbo. otherwise any engine moding on a P.....is very expensive...I have been looking into this as well...but like arrogant did: buy a turbo and just make the stealer into a dealer!!
