Did any of you guys see these new seats yet? Just 2.2kg each. Thats about a 100lb saving on the original seats!! Will find out how much they are on Monday - only available via MK motorsport in germany....they are Recaro Pole Position Carbon...... View attachment 807

Hm...those would look awesome in my car.
Mu shoulders barely fit in the factory manual seats, there is no way I would fit in these. One more reason it sucks to be 6'5".
If they are just Recaro Pole Position Carbons wrapped in leather, why not just get Pole Positions and wrap them in leather here...no need to order from Germany. dw
Ok. Here goes. The pole position is made with GRP shell. The Pole position 'carbon' is exclusive to MK Autosport in germany and has a unique carbon shell weighing in at 2.25kg a piece. That is seriously light! Now for the bad news: I spoke to them today and the price is 4,500 euro's (circa the same in $) based on the standard apholstery. Leather is extra and likely to be around another $1500. This is out of my league - although I would die for a set...
I gather one will loose the side air-bags with these. CP
Did you know you have a site sponsor thet has an interest in seats......He makes them...... that He is ME. None Homologated you can have any weight you want. Homologated the shells must be 4.8Kg ...............and 6'4" isn't a problem either as we make made to measure seats!!! Let me know if I can help anybody.
This is a long story but I will keep it short. I managed to find GT3 seats in carbon for 750GBP ($1400) for the pair. I didnt receive them yet and they will come direct from the factory this week (hopefully). I will let you know if they are any good.
