Hi All, The power steering hose at the front of the car finally needs doing, its within the front wheel arch drivers side, it's leaking between the plastic and metal clip now. Does anyone know how difficult this pipe replacement is and any idea on part number would be great, I'm thinking DIY. (pic below it's the pipe in the middle) Cheers Brumbrum

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Depending on the Model Year, and if C2 or C4 there are several possibilities. The attached might help. (M338 is C2, M339 is C4). Prices vary between approx £150 and £350.
Hi Richard, Thanks for your help again!, its a 2, I cant tell at first glance from the tech sheet the correct pipe, its rubber with metal ends, not sure if its the return or pressure, its the lower of the 2, you can see the split..
If it is the lower of the two, then it should be item 2 on the sheet. RL on the sheet is RHD, so that narrows it down to 2 choices, depending on the model year. Either 996.347.450.03 up to MY2001 or 996.347.450.06 for MY2002on. Both are £105.78+VAT. However, the photos don't look quite like the diagram, which shows bot hoses going into the rack horizontally, and held in with a plate. I'd try and get some confirmation, perhaps from an indy, before you go buying anything.
Great thanks Richard excellent info as always :thumb: for the benfit of the thread it's confirmed lower pipe is the return cheers brumbrum
