I have a 1999 Carrera 4 (1st registered in July 1999). I seem to remember that model year seems to be the following year - or is for models part way through the previous year? So is mine a 2000 model year? Or is it 1999? Bill
Porsche model years start from 1st September, so your car is definitely MY1999. You can check this by the 10th digit of the VIN: V=1997 W=1998 X=1999 Y=2000 1=2001 2=2002 etc, up to MY2010, which will be "A"
