Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Anyone have glamour shots of black wheels on a black 996? Google and Rennlist searches have only come back with modest results. I may go up to 18s soon, so I figure I may as well do it right... Failing that, are the Sport Classic II wheels really as light as I'm told? I'm hearing 22.5-24ish lbs for the 7.5-9", and 28 lbs or so for the 18x10. How does that compare to the stock 17" twist-style rims that came stock on my 2000 C2? Cheers! Justin

POST 2Original post

Justin, check out newport996's car. It's bad-***! Try doing a search with his username. Here's a thread with a pic of his car: https://rennlist.com/forums/996-forum/321088-rear-bumper.html

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ha, true. I did find a few, but usually they were all tiny thumbnails or just maybe one or two examples (like Newport's). I'm esp. interested in shots with 18" wheels and/or silver lips and/or basalt black cars. Thanks! Justin

POST 12Original post

Anyone have any pics of the '02 5 spoke wheels painted black? I think it would look pretty hot.

POST 13Original post

RJMDAD, those wheels look great, very distinctive. Who supplies those wheels and were they an easy fit? How deep are those reverse lips? Cheers!

POST 14Original post

msrc2, love your car. What size are your C22s? Stock suspension?

POST 15Original post

IMO the silver lip is the key to making the look really look. No offense meant towards newport, just my opinion.

POST 16Original post

Thanks. The wheels are 18s. Suspension is stock, but not for long.

POST 17Original post
