Hi all I could do with some advice, I have a 996 C4S on a 54 plate just done 50k miles (including a cracking drive to Barcelona a couple of weeks ago but that's another story ) and the extended warranty is now up for renewal. The price seems to have rocketed from last year as apparantly "it now more comprehensive". I have no doubt the last warranty was worth the money it probably saved me overall but now being asked for over £1300 . I know there a few threads around not OPC warranty but it's been OPC from the beginning (Reading OPC) and from what I read none of them are all that great. What do you think, worth it or not? Thanks for your help

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I've got the same dilema at the moment mate. I had mine into the OPC yesterday who have said that alls ok on the car and would really just be a paper exercise to renew however its a bit of money £1300 especially when i just put out £400 on a minor service. £1700 in one month, If the wife ever found out how much it really costs to keep one instead of the lies i currently tell her i think i would be in the divorce courts. I think its a case of 1300 is worth it if something goes wrong however if nothing goes wrong its a waste of money. Thats the gamble, are you a gambler?
