Hi Everyone I'm starting to come round to the idea (like a lot of people on here by the looks of it!) that a 996TT is going to be my next car of choice. It would be second 'fun' car for me, and having gone through 2x westfields, a lotus elise (s1) and honda s2000 I now feel like I just need to move 'up' a class in terms of power and marque. All the second cars I've had before have been great in their own way, but nothing was really a rounded package. With my parents moving to scotland and giving me the gift of a 430 mile (each way) trip to see them I now want something that will eat miles and still give me plenty of fun when asked. From everything I've read the 996TT will do this for me and then some. Now I don't like wasting peoples time so I don't want to go and look at one that's for sale just yet as I've not sat in / driven / been driven in a 996 of any type as yet. Are there any owners on here (996TT - manual ideally, std 420hp) that would be willing to give me a passenger ride in theirs and generally chew the fat about them one evening/weekend? When ever I've looked at enthusiast cars before I've always found a local friendly owner *much* more helpful than any dealer or specialist garage as they will give you honest views - warts and all. So - anyone around Leicestershire/Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire who might want to help me out? Thanks Will.
