Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Chaps I am interested in a Black 2002 996 C4S coupe, manual. It is direct from an insurance company as a Cat N with rear end damage. From the pics the damage seems extremely minor indeed. Did the car belong to anyone on here or does anyone know any more info? Maybe best to PM me, I do have the reg number, I am new to this site as just interested in this specific car. Many thanks

POST 2Original post

which car? where? link please :dont know: :? :floor:

POST 3Original post

Hi Did not know they sell direct. A lot of general advice to be had here. Best of luck Berni

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi I did not intend on posting the link tbh just in case the owner is on this site and may not want the accident discussed etc. Anyway, here it is: https://www.copart.co.uk/lot/36022390 Study very closely the NSR tyre. What on earth would cause that? I have one theory, it has a snapped key plus that tyre..... Could it have been stolen and then a stinger used? If so, it would usually be a Cat X but who knows Anyone spot any damage?? Cheers

POST 5Original post

You do know where the engine is in this car don't you. :?:

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am a 986 specialist. Please, I am looking for anyone who knows this specific car or specific knowledge of what the problems are with this car. It runs and drives

POST 7Original post

Difficult to see damage on the images, current bid is low, might be worth a punt if you have the knowledge to straighten it out and sort any potential engine damage! If you get it open a project thread here:thumb:

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Will let you know, the fact that is is being sold as running and driving, I would like to think that any engine damage could minimal It must have been stolen to have a tyre like that is my thoughts

POST 9Original post

OP, the tyre looks as if it has been driven for a considerable distance totally flat. That tends to split the sidewall like that, or at least has done to me on another car I once owned and had no jack to change it Ps, not a Porsche by the way.

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Exactly It has been driven a long way at considerable speed. This is why I think it was stolen.
