Hello to one and all!
As of July 2011, I realized the completion of a 45 (forty-five) year dream--the purchase of a 911. My choice was a 2006 997S, in Speed Yellow. I has the PASM, Chrono and Sport packages, with fantastic sport seats and yellow seat belts. The short-shifter is magic and the 19" rims look terrific.
Having raced formula cars in the distant past, I can say that this vehicle is THE most organic driving car I have ever piloted on the road. There are not too many electronic nannies to prevent fun but just enough to save one from one's own stupidity :*).
So, I look forward to "speaking" with you and wish all of you a great summer.

Speed Yellow 997S!!! Awesome!!! My favorite color for sport car is yellow...it is loud yet happy (I have a Racing Yellow 981 on order) :cheers:

Congrats on your new baby. I can say that a Porsche was my childhood dream car and can still remember all the details of ordering and picking it up. 2006 was a good year. Same as my Carrera S.
