Look on the window sticker, in my case it indicates "full leather option" so all of the seat is leather except the carbon fiber. Now I'm unsure as to whether the other seats styles are listed this way but I think I recall partial leather as an option which would be the sitting face of the seats, full leather all of the seat.

Yes, partial means the stuff you touch when seated. Basically the seat and backrest faces. Also comes with leather hand brake & shifter handles as well as steering wheel cover. AFA Full leather, IIRC that was pretty pricey. And didn't that include the dashboard cover, door panels, arm rests...?

My 987.2 boxer base had the sport seats option checked as well as the "natural leather" option checked. The natural leather visually has larger grain and stiching. It feels much softer and more pliable. My 987.2 Cayman S had regular comfort seats. They were definitely not as nice as the base Boxster natural leather sport seats.
