Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Can not remember who I spoke to on here about getting new mats but too tight to pay for the Porsche OE ones? Well, it gave me the idea of trying the Ebay cheapo efforts and sticking on some Porsche crests. I went for it and I am chuffed with the results. Red tailor made high quality velour mats cost £13.99 2 x 3.5" Porsche crests £2.98 each Simply place the crest onto the mat in the desired place, carefully cover with a tea-towel and press down iron on full heat for 30 seconds. The end result looks OEM, the patch has actually pressed into the velour and looks like it was meant to be there Pictures: As my gear lever surround was slightly scrated I have decided to give this a nice coat of matching Red too.... should look pretty good when finished.

they look great! Good idea, Will def do the same when required, are they the same fixings as original?

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

They came with twist in pegs that fit through holes in the mays and then twist lock down. Very effective but I also removes the fluff circle pads off my OEM mats to stick to the OEM grippers on the floor.. double safe.

POST 5Original post

Looks good Do you have alink to the crests? Cant find anything like it on Ebay or elsewhere

POST 6Original post

Did Something similar. You can pick them up from OPC parts dept - PWAP.107.067.14 PD045E EMBLEM £2.55+vat :thumb:

POST 7Original post

Could these crests be fitted to the standard mats already in the car? With a dark interior its nice to subtley brighten up the cabin.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yes, they iron on, put a tea towel over them and press with the iron.

POST 9Original post

Cheers Lloyd Ill do this. I note the 'part number' to the official Porsche ones - do you have any links to your supplier? Dont see any on ebay. Thanks

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I got mine off Ebay ages ago but you can get them off Porscheshop, they do different sizes, I went for 70mm but truth be had I reckon 40 - 50mm may just look a little more classy.

POST 11Original post

Another great idea Lloyd! Have the motifs but didn't think they could just iron onto the carpet. Will try it. ~ Maxie :thumb:

There are a few Hong Kong suppliers on ebay who do these. Search for "porsche patch" and a few come up from around £2.50 to £3 plus £1.50 p&p. Sizes are 3 inches to about 3.5 inches.
