Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi All, I just sold a 2001 996 Cab for a client and it came equipped with the rather unfortunate OEM Cassette Deck (CR-210, I believe). The buyer would love to have a CD player or perhaps CD with Aux input but keep the OEM look in the dash. I realize this is often a tall order - but are there any OEM units that are plug-and-play or require a minimum of modification to install? I realize there are zillions of good aftermarket options out there, but we are trying to maintain the factory look of the interior and also minimize the amount of modification to keep the car easily returned to stock (for any nuts who WANT a Becker cassette deck ). Thanks in advance for your insight. -Geoff Classic Motoring, LLC
