Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Hi all. Fairly new to the forum as I only got my 08 Speed Yellow CS last December 08. I'm from Manila, Philippines BTW. Anyway, I need to do a stencil of the engine/motor number for registration purposes but not sure where to find it. Anyone knows where? Thanks.

POST 2Original post

Look underneath the engine at the sump plate. The number is stamped on an angled plate the opposite side to the oil filter.

POST 3Original post

Thanks Autofarm for the info. Do I need to remove anything to get access to this?

POST 4Original post

Nope, but you'll prob need a wire brush or something suitable to get all the road and engine dirt off of it.

POST 5Original post

May I ask what this registration is for? Is it a local government requirement, or an auto club requirement? I have not heard of this before.

POST 6Original post

It's actually a standard procedure here in the Philippines whenever we apply for the car title/registration. There's a form we need to fill up and need to place a stencil of both the VIN number and engine number of the vehicle.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
