Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Anyone have experience with a cracked cylinder liner that does not result in oil in the overflow tank? I really wan to be sure before going ahead with a full re-build or engine replacement.

POST 2Original post

Saw one today in NY. It was in my local Indy and they were doing a leak down test and #5 had 0. Code was misfire in #5. The air on the leak down was coming out the exhaust. They thought it was a stuck exhaust valve because there was no oil in the antifreeze and/or antifreeze in the oil. The owner stopped the motor when it sounded weird and was missing. So they took the exhaust off and antifreeze came poring out of the exhaust. So now the owner is looking for a new engine.
