Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm trying to have a double cubby hole like the one pictured below...I know it's a big ambition but you need to set yourself big targets in life. I now have two cubby holes that both fit the lower position but how do you get one to fit the upper part? I can't believe Porsche made lots of different fitting sections so how do I adapt me one to fit?

POST 2Original post

Yep 2 different parts. One is slightly tapered to the lower position. The top one is rectangular.

POST 3Original post

Pretty sure I've got one in the garage, although thinking about it I might have the lower one, mine had a tape storage thing and then a cubby hole. Anyway, you'd be welcome to the cubby if it's the correct one, let me see if I can find a picture to establish which it is.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

That's great if yours is a middle one I would gladly swap.

POST 5Original post

I doubt it will be the correct one unfortunately. Tape and CD holders go in the rectangular slot. Eg the top one.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Here's a photo of my lower one.....which I now have two of if anyone fancies a swap for the middle version that would be great.

Thanks for the links but unfortunately due to currently earning zero money I won't be paying £70 for a plastic box. Anyone fancy a swap for my lower unit ....we can unite the various tribes and double cubby hole ownership can spread across the land. Where once there was useless cassette and CD holders let there be double cubby holes where free men and women can store whatever takes their fancy.

POST 9Original post

The plan is to put yours up for sale and the moment you sell it, you buy the double. ps: the first 2 are £58.

POST 10Original post

Do what Alex says. It'll cost very little. :thumb: You'll be extremely lucky to find someone who'll swap a rectangular (top) one for a tapered (bottom) one as the tapered ones are way more common. The rectangular ones were a lot rarer as the earlier Boxster and 996s had cassette or CD holders in the top position.
