Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi All, I've had the centre dash trim out of my car fault finding an issue and stumbled across this plug which is part of the OEM harness and not connected to anything. Can anyone tell me what it should be connected to? Thank you in advance. Ollie

POST 2Original post

Often there will be plugs that are not meant to be connected to anything, its just in the wiring loom for other reasons like an option that you don't have or something they may fit in the future. I can't help say what it is for though?

POST 3Original post

Might be worth googling the wire colours as there is a standard schema for circuits. May give a clue.

POST 4Original post

I asked a question about a phone preparation kit for my car and that looks similar. From memory it should have a switched and a permanent live if it's said connector.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
