Hi, 1st time 2001 996 C2 owner here. Mine seems to have developed a fault with the rear automatic spoiler in that only the LHS rises. I've had a good search around on the web for information as to how the mechanism functions but have not found much! Does anyone know if this can be fixed at home or if it's a dealer job? Also, where do you folks obtain schematics etc from? many thanks for any help..... John

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Can't help with your specific query unfortunately but :welcome: to the forum.
Well, its fixed. The OPC wanted £750 for a new mechanism + fitting. I manged to obtain a complete boot lid & spoiler for £125 from a good breakers. A few hours of tinkering later and many protective covers the replacement mechanism is in and working!
