Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Being new to the Porsche community, I would like to say hi to everyone. A little background: Along with some of you I have owned many, many muscle cars over the years (18 1963-1967 Corvettes, 2 Vipers, streetrods, Harleys, etc) so I know a little about cars. With that being said, I have just purchased a mint condition, red 2006 Cayman S, and I LOVE IT. Being the type of person I am I can't leave well enough alone with this great machine, and being used to having cars that have great sound and performance I was wondering about some of the after market cat back exhaust systems I have been reading about. I would appreciate some recommendations and information from some of you regarding exhaust systems for the Cayman S. So what do you guys think, sound wise and performance wise, is it worth the money and effort ?

Mrocket.. welcome to the Cayman S family. well this is the best site for all information. Great News is that you can actually get some great sound for free. you can search here under modification, there will be an article on "Free exhaust modification". is simply a 10 mins job, and you get amazing deep sounds. i did it about 4 weeks ago, and never look back until i decide to puchase a exhaust system in the future. but this seems to be the cheaper way to go. good luck, i am sure you will enjoy the "free sound modification"

POST 3Original post

correction. the exact name for the previous thread is call "Free Motor Sound Package!" plug that in the search, it will pop right up.. .

There are, of course, several other CATBACK systems.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
