Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Just brought my car to have the evo v-flow installed and talked with the mechanics for a couple of hours. Place I go to handles the porsche collection for Jerry Seinfield and Jay Leno I think. So, interesting things 1) If you are trying to get the sleeve of the v-flow over the projection thing inside the airbox, you may have to file off a ridge on the top part of the thing that projects out. 2) When you have the tail fog-lights on, only the left light gets brighter, not the right one. It's not burned out like I thought. haha 3) The turbos for the 993 are discontinued as of very recently and porsche is not rebuilding them anymore. The price has gone from $1000 each to $3000 for whatever is sitting on some warehouse shelve, so consider that if you have one. Makes me think in general a turbo is not worth the maintenance, especially as an add-on to a Cayman.

POST 2Original post

Presumably it's not so much left light, as driver's side light. And that's some real attention to detail on PAG's part.

POST 3Original post

Couldn't say. Any of you folks in UK have the light on the right side get brighter as the fog light in back?

POST 4Original post

I didn't have to do any filing, but it was a pain to get the thing onto the tube. The dealer ( All Pro ) did the last install, onto the '07, and I'm considering opening it up to look at it, since I have a feeling they didn't do it right. They transfered the exhaust, evo, and clear side markers between two cars for only $350 though, so I wasn't complaining at the time. - Suneet
