Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

OK, I kept my 99 C2 for approx 5 months & put 7000 miles on it & loved it. But, the potential bills for IMS failure kept niggling me & I really couldn't afford for the car to be off the road, as I use it for business. The likes of the Hartech scheme were good, but way to far away to make it financially or time wise viable for any potential repair The best option is to go for a Turbo to get past the IMS worries from my perspective, plus I would love the power & safety of PSM (which I didn't have) With the addition of Service required this month, plus a few other things that needed doing, I took the car back to the garage I bought it from & got afair price. Now driving a 2 year old BMW 330i Coupe, which is a nice sensible car for the mo, until I find decent 996 Turbo 8) (| good to see prices being more reasonable again ) As Arnie said "I will be back"
