Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Sorry if this has been asked before but I'm on the verge of buying some and would like to know if they will fit straight on? Thanks in advance. Graham

POST 2Original post

I don't know for certain but think you will need spacers as the 996 wasn't originally designed for 19's.....

POST 3Original post

I think you will need 5mm spacers on the rear, as the offsets of the 996T wheels are ET45, and the 997T are ET51. The fronts are 8.5" wide on the 997T and 8.0" wide on the 996T, so you lose 1/2" clearance on the inside, but I think there is plenty of room. Several people have done it, so it can't be too much of a problem.

POST 4Original post

WFIW, I need 5mm spacers on my fronts with 9" wide rims. The wheel won't clear the strut without them.
