Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Out of interest what car will new gt4 owner be putting in px / selling privately? Be interesting to see what car the new gt4 buyer is coming from.

POST 2Original post

Low mileage CSL (31k). Possibly advertise it soon if i get a GT4 slot? I'm sure to regret it. Was Hoping to keep hold of it as it's mint and had £k's spent on it (BMW warranty). Good CSL's with good history are getting hard to find so i need to appreciate that once it's gone... it's gone, so the GT4 better be good!

POST 3Original post

Maybe my GT3 997 or maybe ill change my mind or have both till I decide. Still unsure about the car really want to see and drive one first but this isn't possible in the short term seemingly

POST 4Original post

Just parted with a 996 GT2. If I'd realised I'd be waiting until close to the last quarter of the year I'd have held on to it a little longer! CSL is a great car. But I don't think you'll miss it when you're in the GT4. I had a couple back in the day.

POST 6Original post

987.2 Cayman S which will probably go once (if) I get confirmation of a GT4. Only 17k miles and amazing specification (£72k new) so will be a great buy for someone. Don't think I would like to drop off the 987 to collect the GT4 as I might be disappointed by the lack of feel. Better to go without a fun car for a while before jumping into a GT4.

It is also wonderfully balanced. Well, once you stiffen up the chassis and put dampers and brakes on the car. Love it. CSL staying....

I can't get over this lack of feel statement. why stop here? you should try an air-cooled porsche for steering feel. 987 wasn't that good anyways compared with the 997/996

Good man, would never sell a car like that as far as I could!!

I do agree, they're great cars. Loved mine and it's still probably still in the top 3 of cars I've owned. I did think the 996 GT3 Mk2 I owned later was better and I preferred the GT2 to the GT3. Things move on though and I can't afford to keep a collection of cars. My top 3 are all ten years old now! So I'm hoping the GT4 will show the bebefit of 10 years development whilst maintaining a degree of driver engagement via the manual box. If it had been PDK only I would probably been out. Making it manual only was a master stroke by Porsche. AP was right, most enthusiasts don't care about an extra tenth here or there, it's about involving the driver at this sector of the marjet. Great induction roar on the CSL. Difficult to beat! Although the standard sport exhaust on the GT4 sounds pretty damn good! Was seduced by the very nice salesman at Porsche Cardiff into putting an LOI in for the forthcoming GT3 RS. I'll have to save a few more penny's over the next 12 months!

POST 14Original post

A hundred or so nice cars coming up for sale soon. Good news.

m33ufo I guess you were the chap I used to see driving the silver 996 gt2 around Cardiff? Thinking about it a local broker just sold a dark blue gt2 in Cardiff as well. Out of interest which salesman mentioned putting a letter of intend down on a gt4 rs?

Out of interest which salesman mentioned putting a letter of intend down on a gt4 rs? Maybe. Mine was a Mk.1 but with Mk.2 wheels, wing and mirrors etc. I'm a lot more worried about missing mine than Phooey is about missing his CSL (I think!). I was chatting to Ian Peters about the GT3 RS, not GT4 RS.

POST 19 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Not the one I spotted! We have bought a few cars off Ian over the years. Cardiff OPC has an excellent level of customer service Martin, Tina and Steve are a real credit to the brand.

Martin left a few months ago. He's now with Sytner BMW in Cardiff, I think as their Business Manager or something? It was actually Martin I placed my LOI with in October. Just before he left.

POST 22Original post

None. I stopped getting rid of cars because I always regret it later. They're mine, mine I tell you, Muahahahahaha!

POST 23 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Good man, would never sell a car like that as far as I could!! Yes I was. Will be going back on March 1. I had a blast trying to catch up with the 991 Gt3s. They were simply too fast.......... especially down the straights.

POST 30Original post

Recently sold my CSL so I guess technically if I get one the GT4 is the replacement. 997.1 GT3 RS staying.

POST 31Original post

I rather sell my 7.2RS I think. Tracking a 150k car just doesn't seem right. ragging my CSL, on the other hand.................... but ultimately, given the direction where Ferrari/Lambo/Maclaren/Aston are pushing with ever faster self shifters and big HP turbos controlled by state of the art electronics, I don't think porsche track offerings have a choice. We may continue to see Cayman GT4s in NA and 1-off specials but the asian market demands self shifters (you seen the traffic there?). This is a 1-way street which makes the 6.3 RS pretty much a unicorn in time to come.

POST 32Original post

Just sold a 997.2 Gt3 CS now with a Cayman R. Excited about the GT4 will have to see ifi geta car though...

POST 33Original post

E92 M3, gone, hoping I get a slot, gonna get a 944 to put me on if I do, always wanted one....

POST 36Original post

I currently have an F355 as my fun car but I wouldn't be selling it for the GT4, seems like far too good an investment at the moment. That and I don't really ever want to part with it! I guess it will just be an addition to the fleet of cars I don't really have room for
