Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Not sure if anyone can offer advice here, but the knowledge of this group is amazing! Lately, I have been noticing quarter to half dollar sized spots under my 1999 996 tiptronic, about 3/4 of the way back. I took a look underneath today and the engine looked clean but up towards the front, where the plastic cover begins (and where I see the spots), it was looking a bit rough although there doesn't seem to be any pooling. I have attached pictures and welcome anyone's thoughts on what I may be facing when I take this in to my guy. (of course jacking it up, caused my engine mounts to spew, so it is a good thing that I caught this...looks like they have been bad for some time based on watery fluid) here is the oil spot: Pictures of the underside:
